If Howard Tech was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Hardy Memorial on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hstln Tigers took a 16-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tyner Academy Rams on Thursday. Even though they lost, the Hstln Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jertavious Reeves and Chad Havis did some serious damage despite the final result: Reeves went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Havis went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI. Mekhai Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Howard Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Tyner Academy, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-17.

Howard Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tyner Academy, they will host Austin-East at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Roadrunners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
