Basketball Game Preview: Mead Hall Episcopal School Panthers vs. Holly Hill Academy Raiders

The Mead Hall Episcopal School Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Monday, Mead Hall Episcopal School was beaten by Briarwood Academy 58-16. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holly Hill Academy hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 win over Faith Christian on Thursday. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Holly Hill Academy found their leader in sophomore Kloie Mizell, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Mizell. The team also got some help courtesy of Essie Wolpert, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Mead Hall Episcopal School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Holly Hill Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

Mead Hall Episcopal School didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Holly Hill Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mead Hall Episcopal School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
