Basketball Recap: Independence/Gilmanton Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Independence/Gilmanton lost to Melrose-Mindoro back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Independence/Gilmanton Indees enjoyed a cozy 55-38 victory over the Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indees.

Independence/Gilmanton pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Melrose-Mindoro, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Independence/Gilmanton is taking a road trip to challenge New Auburn at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. New Auburn will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Independence/Gilmanton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Melrose-Mindoro, they will host Alma Center Lincoln at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Melrose-Mindoro is facing Alma Center Lincoln at the right time seeing as Alma Center Lincoln is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
