Baseball Recap: South Anchorage Falls Short of Dimond in the Playoffs

South Anchorage and Dimond squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but South Anchorage had to settle for second. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynx. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

South Anchorage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Drumm, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Evan Baldwin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

South Anchorage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-5 record this season. As for Dimond, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10-2 record.

As of now, neither South Anchorage nor the Lynx have any future games scheduled.
