Riverside entered their tilt with Corning on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Corning, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will venture away from home to square off against Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Corning, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marmaduke at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
