North Johnston is 8-1 against Eastern Wayne since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. North Johnston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Friday, North Johnston sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over West Craven. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Levi Lamonaco, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Seth Scott, who went 1-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Eastern Wayne's offense. They lost 10-0 to Douglas Byrd on Thursday.

Eastern Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Benjamin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Eastern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

North Johnston got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Eastern Wayne by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
