Porter was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Alejandro Torres did his best to prevent it. Veterans Memorial had no answer to Torres as he struck out six batters over 7.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
Even though Torres couldn't lead Porter over Veterans Memorial, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
