Softball Recap: Grosse Ile Comes Up Short

Grosse Ile was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Huron Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 back in April.

Grosse Ile saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sky Hotham, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Grosse Ile's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Huron, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grosse Ile is set to take on their familiar foe Riverview at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Huron will face off against rival Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
