Recap: Muskogee Roughers vs. Broken Arrow Tigers
The Muskogee Roughers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Broken Arrow on Tuesday, falling 84-19. Muskogee lost against Broken Arrow in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-49 score last time.
McKenzie Mathurin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Broken Arrow, going 10 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 1 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mathurin has scored at least 25% of Broken Arrow's points. Macy Marraccini was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Muskogee's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Broken Arrow, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muskogee will take on Bartlesville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Broken Arrow, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Choctaw at 6:30 p.m. Choctaw is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
