Basketball Recap: Herculaneum Comes Up Short

Herculaneum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the DeSoto Dragons. The Black Cats were not able to make up for their loss to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Herculaneum's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for DeSoto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herculaneum will face off against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeSoto, they will be playing at home against St. Louis Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
