Basketball Game Preview: Strawn Greyhounds vs. Eula Pirates

Strawn hasn't had much luck against Eula recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Greyhounds will take on the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Strawn played against Moran on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

On Tuesday, Eula took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-14 victory over Cooper. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 21 points or more this season.

Strawn's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Eula, their win bumped their record up to 27-1.

Strawn was taken down by Eula 90-40 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
