Basketball Recap: Skyridge Takes a Loss

Skyridge lost against Lone Peak back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Skyridge Falcons lost 67-44 to the Lone Peak Knights. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Skyridge still got an impressive performance from Jordan Kohler, who posted 16 points. Kohler's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Ryder Gentry was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Lone Peak found their leader in sophomore Crew Fotheringham, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Suarez, who went 5 of 6 to rack up 10 points.

Skyridge's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lone Peak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Skyridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-44 victory against Lehi on the 7th. As for Lone Peak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-46 win against American Fork on the 7th.
