Football Preview: Collierville Dragons vs. Whitehaven Tigers        
        
		
             The Collierville Dragons are taking a road trip to  challenge the Whitehaven Tigers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Collierville will be coming into the  contest with an undefeated record on the line.
 Last Friday, Collierville humbled  Cordova with  a  45-7 victory. With the Dragons ahead  45-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
 It was another big night for  Grant Troutman, who threw for 221 yards and five touchdowns while completing 93.3% of his passes. What's more,  he also racked up 25  rushing yards, the mosthe's  had since back in November of 2023.  Tae Walden Jr was in the mix  as well, providing Collierville with two touchdowns.
 Collierville wouldn't let Cordova keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Collierville can thank  Emmanuel Palmer and  Bryson Johnson for forcing both of them. Collierville got some further help from  Tristian Euell: he picked up  a  sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile, Whitehaven never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed by Craigmont on the road  to the tune of  50-0. That looming  50-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this  season.
 Collierville pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Whitehaven, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season.
 Collierville strolled past Whitehaven when the teams last played  back in October of 2023 by a score of  31-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collierville since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
