Soccer Game Preview: St. Dominic vs. Timberland

St. Dominic has gone a perfect 3-0 against Timberland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Crusaders will look to defend their home pitch against the T-Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Dominic comes in on five and Timberland on six.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when St. Dominic and Visitation Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Crusaders never let the Vivettes get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering St. Dominic's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Visitation Academy are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Timberland made easy work of Orchard Farm on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. Timberland's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Timberland pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for St. Dominic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Everything went St. Dominic's way against Timberland in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as St. Dominic made off with a 5-1 win. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the T-Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
