Baseball Recap: Reed Takes a Loss

Reed was the 14-4 winner over Nevada Union when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders lost 14-5 to the Miners on Friday.

Chase Spencer made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Burns, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Reed has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14-1 record this season. As for Nevada Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15-1.

Reed didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against Spanish Springs on the 25th. As for Nevada Union, they will square off against Yuba City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
