Softball Recap: John F. Kennedy Takes a Loss

John F. Kennedy had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-5-1 to make it five. They lost 17-0 to the Chardon Hilltoppers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Fighting Eagles were not able to get on the board.

As for Chardon, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games.

For Chardon's part, Savannah Murray was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Banville, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

John F. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chardon, they will take on Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Hilltoppers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
