Recap: Tri-Valley Vikings vs. Lexington Minutemen
The Tri-Valley Vikings won the last time they faced the Lexington Minutemen, and things went their way on Saturday too. Tri-Valley pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over Lexington.
Lexington lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Griffen Hari, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Blaine Friedmansky, who scored 15 points.
Lexington struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Lexington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will face off against Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Clinton will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Lexington, Lexington and Fieldcrest will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fieldcrest is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
