Volleyball Recap: Westerville South Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Saturday. Westerville South took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newark. The defeat continues a trend for Westerville South in their meetings with Newark: they've now lost four in a row.

Reese Riley was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and two aces. Riley is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Westerville South's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Newark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Westerville South has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Dublin Scioto on the 26th. As for Newark, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Buckeye Valley on the 23rd.
