Basketball Game Preview: Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves vs. Butler Lynx

Two dominant guards in Taleiah Marble and Xyanna Walton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves will face off against the Butler Lynx at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Butler's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Perspectives-IIT/Joslin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They secured a 35-31 W over Brooks.

Meanwhile, Butler entered their tilt with Lake View on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 79-20. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Perspectives-IIT/Joslin better keep an eye on Walton. She was instrumental in Butler's win, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 25 boards. The contest was Walton's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Samaiyya Williams, who posted 20 points and five steals.

Butler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Perspectives-IIT/Joslin pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points over those games. As for Butler, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.
