Flag Football Game Preview: North Monterey County Condors vs. Soledad Aztecs + How To Watch

The North Monterey County Condors will head out on the road to square off against the Soledad Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Monterey County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

North Monterey County is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Seaside: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Condors blew the Spartans out of the water with a 46-0 final score. Given the Condors' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Spartans are ranked 709th) , the win on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Monterey County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Crystal Derrer.

Meanwhile, Soledad ended up a good deal behind Pajaro Valley last Tuesday and lost 25-6. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Monterey County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.4 points on average over those games. As for Soledad, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

North Monterey County came up short against Soledad when the teams last played back in September, falling 13-7. Can the Condors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
