Baseball Game Preview: Fike Demons vs. South Johnston Trojans

Fike is 0-6 against South Johnston since March of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Fike Demons will host the South Johnston Trojans at 6:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Fike after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Johnston.

Fike saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Ferrell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, South Johnston had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

South Johnston now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fike, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
