Softball Recap: Carmel Gets the Win

Carmel won the last time they faced Grant Community and things went their way on Monday too. The Corsairs came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 14-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Corsairs.

The team relied heavily on Grace Brown, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Kate Buckingham was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Carmel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Grant Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9-1.

Coming up, Carmel will face off against Grayslake North at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grant Community, they will take on Antioch at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
