Volleyball Recap: Langley Neal Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Josey

Johnson won the last time they faced Josey and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Johnson was: they took both sets by at least 18 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Langley Neal, who had 13 aces. Those 13 aces gave Neal a new career-high. Maggie Wells was another key player, getting seven aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Johnson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Johnson's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Josey, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Johnson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeside on the 27th. Josey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
