Hayes came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Pacers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by nine runs or more this season.

Bronwynn Leighty was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Hayes got a massive performance out of Laurel Day, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Day a new career-high in doubles (two). Grace Singleton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Hayes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Worthington Kilbourne only posted an OBP of .286.

Hayes pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayes will take on West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will square off against Westerville South at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.89 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
