Basketball Recap: West Perry Takes a Loss

West Perry lost against Susquenita back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Perry Mustangs took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Susquenita Blackhawks. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Susquenita's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Schoppy, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and seven boards. What's more, Schoppy also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jacob Vega, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points and seven steals.

West Perry now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Susquenita, their record now sits at 12-7.

West Perry has already played their next game (against Biglerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Susquenita didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-47 victory against Upper Dauphin Area on the 3rd.
