This is one of the most prestigious team awards in all of high school sports and it is an exclusive honor reserved for the top 100 teams nationwide. In order to be eligible, a team must win a state championship and be highly ranked in the
MaxPreps National Rankings. For soccer, only 20 of the country's best are invited and with nearly 34,000 competing varsity teams. This puts the Falcons ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
On Friday, Nov. 18 the Lower Dauphin boys soccer team capped its perfect season (28-0) with a 3-0 shutout win over Northwestern Lehigh for the
2016 PIAA Class AAA state title. En route to the state final game, the Falcons plowed through Holy Ghost Prep (3-0) and Mars (4-0), and squeezed past Cathedral Prep with a 2-1 overtime semifinal win.
The Falcons completely dominated this year as they outscored their opponents 108-6 and recorded 23 shutout wins. At the end of its undefeated state championship season, Lower Dauphin was ranked
No.1 in Class AAA,
No.1 in the state and
No.9 in the MaxPreps National Rankings.
These incredible season achievements have earned the Lower Dauphin Falcons an invitation to the 12th Annual Tour of Champions.
Please join us as we celebrate with the boys soccer team, coaching staff, students and fans on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. during halftime of the boys basketball game in the gym.
