Liberal waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over the Greenfield Wildcats. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Wildcats are ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Greenfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addington Roberts posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave Roberts a new career-high. Cailey Boyd was another key player, putting up eight points.

Liberal's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberal will challenge Osceola at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McAuley Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
