Football Game Preview: Sutton Mustangs vs. Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats

The Sutton Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sutton's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Thayer Central on Friday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 20-0. Having soared to a lofty 70 points in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, after only ten points in their last contest, Exeter-Milligan/Friend made sure to put some points up on the board against Southern on Friday. The Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Raiders 64-18. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Southern's QB won't forget Truman Milton anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Those 2.5 sacks set a new season-high mark for Milton.

The win got Exeter-Milligan/Friend back to even at 2-2. As for Sutton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Sutton came up short against Exeter-Milligan/Friend in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 34-30. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
