Baseball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

Avalon fell victim to Frankston and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-0 to the Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avalon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn McEwen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Avalon now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Frankston, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Avalon will head out to face off against Kerens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Frankston, they will take on Mildred at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Eagles a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
