Vero Beach put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Riverdale Warriors.

Brandon Walker tossed a big game, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jace Romans, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Wyatt Scruggs also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Vero Beach's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Vero Beach will head out to take on Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Juliet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
