Basketball Game Preview: Savannah Bluejackets vs. Jenkins County War Eagles

The Savannah Bluejackets will venture away from home to challenge the Jenkins County War Eagles at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Savannah comes in on nine and Jenkins County on three.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Savannah beat Bryan County 51-45.

Savannah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Deshawn Davis out in front who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 boards. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 25 times he's played. Zy Smart was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Jenkins County was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Screven County 75-48.

Jenkins County now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Savannah, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Savannah took their win against Jenkins County in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 63-38. Does Savannah have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jenkins County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
