Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Smiths Station). They breezed past the JAG Jaguars to the tune of 62-0 on Tuesday. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Smiths Station didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kennedi Treadwell, Malayah Williams, Svetlana Cervantes, and Janiya Jones picked up one apiece. Treadwell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The victory (which was Smiths Station's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for JAG, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
