Basketball Recap: Millry Takes a Loss

Millry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 70-19 loss at the hands of the Southern Choctaw Indians. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

Southern Choctaw was led to victory by Haidynn Hill and Marcionna Young. Hill posted 20 points, while Young earned 19 points. The dominant performance gave Hill a new career-high in points. Madison Hill was another key player, putting up ten points.

Millry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Southern Choctaw, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millry will take on Leroy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Choctaw, they will challenge Fruitdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Choctaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
