Football Recap: Lucas Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lucas Christian Academy can now relate to. They were outmatched by Prestonwood Christian North and fell 80-32. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Prestonwood Christian North this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-6 back in September.

Prestonwood Christian North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Barth led the charge by throwing for 301 yards and seven touchdowns on perfect 13-for-13 passing, while also rushing for 65 yards. Those 301 passing yards gave Barth a new career-high. Another receiver making a difference was Tyler Teague, who gained 217 total yards and four touchdowns.

Lucas Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Prestonwood Christian North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Lucas Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prestonwood Christian North, they will face off against Nazarene Christian Academy on Friday. Prestonwood Christian North will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
