Everything went their way against the Corcoran Panthers on Monday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Greyhounds needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Brooklyn Martin made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eden Blais, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Priscilla Allison, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Atascadero's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Corcoran, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
