Softball Recap: Lewiston's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Sandpoint last Tuesday, Lewiston came back down to earth. Lewiston came up short against the Twin Falls Bruins on Friday, falling 15-4. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Lewiston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Barney, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Laila Hernandez was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lewiston fell to 2-1. As for Twin Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Lewiston has already played their next match, an 8-5 loss against Vallivue on the 21st. As for Twin Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-5 victory against Ridgevue on the 21st.
