Preview: Simsbury Trojans vs. Glastonbury Guardians
The Simsbury Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Glastonbury Guardians at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Simsbury is ranked first, while Glastonbury is ranked sixth).
After a string of five wins, Simsbury's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Southington.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Northwest Catholic on the road by a decisive 69-54 margin.
Simsbury's loss dropped their record down to 17-2. As for Glastonbury, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.
Simsbury strolled past Glastonbury when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 65-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Simsbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
