Basketball Game Preview: Fort Worth Christian Cardinals vs. Midland Christian Mustangs

The Fort Worth Christian Cardinals just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Midland Christian Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Fort Worth Christian took on Trinity Christian on Monday. Fort Worth Christian lost 63-39 to Trinity Christian. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Midland Christian waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They breezed past the Lions to the tune of 63-28. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Lions are ranked 676th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midland Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points over those games. As for Fort Worth Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-21.

Fort Worth Christian might still be hurting after the 55-32 defeat they got from Midland Christian when the teams last played last Saturday. Can Fort Worth Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
