South Christian faced Forest Hills Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Sailors' defense stepped up to hand the Rangers a 3-0 shutout. South Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

South Christian pushed their record up to 12-0-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight matches. As for Forest Hills Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Christian will head out to take on West Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Forest Hills Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
