Softball Recap: Rushville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Rushville faced off against Franklin County on Thursday. The Lions took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Rushville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylie Tucker, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Franklin County, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rushville will square off against rival South Dearborn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Franklin County is set to face off against their familiar foe Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
