Basketball Game Preview: Boys Ranch Roughriders vs. Texline Tornadoes

The Boys Ranch Roughriders will face off against the Texline Tornadoes at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Boys Ranch: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Texline has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Boys Ranch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 69 points back in December of 2024, they were much more limited against Pringle-Morse last Friday. They lost 49-25 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Texline had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 60-23 win over Hartley. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Tigers are ranked 958th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boys Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Texline, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
