Softball Game Preview: Oaks Christian Lions vs. Valencia Vikings

The Oaks Christian Lions will take on the Valencia Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Valencia will be up against a hot Oaks Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. The Lions were the clear victors by a 26-4 margin over Calabasas on Thursday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Valencia put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Golden Valley a 10-0 shutout.

Valencia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Oaks Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
