Softball Game Preview: Robertson County Black Devils vs. Paris Greyhounds

The Robertson County Black Devils will take on the Paris Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Robertson County will be strutting in after a win while Paris will be coming in after a defeat.

Robertson County took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Holmes. The Black Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Paris' offense. They came up short against Montgomery County on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Greyhounds were not able to get on the board.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Robertson County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Robertson County suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Paris in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Robertson County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
