The Air Academy Kadets will head out to square off against the Discovery Canyon Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Air Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Air Academy is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 9, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 11-3 to Green Mountain. The Kadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caleb Hendrickson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon entered their contest against Lutheran on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thunder came up short against the Lions, falling 16-9. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Thunder, who until this game were averaging 3.9 runs allowed.

Cole Teltschik and Nate Singleton did some serious damage despite the final result: Teltschik went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Singleton went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Jaxon Ross also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 9-2-1. As for Discovery Canyon, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 8-2.

Both Air Academy and Discovery Canyon just can't seem to miss. The Kadets have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Discovery Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Air Academy couldn't quite finish off Discovery Canyon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Kadets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
