The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cubs on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Newport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
