Basketball Recap: Ephrata Takes a Loss

Ephrata was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 60-27 loss at the hands of the Okanogan Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).

Ephrata's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Okanogan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ephrata will venture away from home to square off against Selah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Selah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Ephrata likes a good challenge. As for Okanogan, they will take on Liberty Bell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Liberty Bell: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Okanogan has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
