Softball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marshall Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on April 10th.

Waterloo now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marshall beat Waterloo by a score of 1-0 later that day.
