Softball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Rogers Pirates by a score of 8-7. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Baswell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Victoria Hill was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

New Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18-1. As for Rogers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

New Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against James Clemens on the 18th. As for Rogers, they will venture away from home to take on Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
