Robertson County hasn't had much luck against Ludlow recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Thursday just wasn't the day for Robertson County's offense. They lost 15-0 to Nicholas County on Thursday. The Black Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Ludlow waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.
Abby Chatt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Chatt was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Shelby Ralston was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddie Gillespie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Ludlow pushed their record up to 9-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Robertson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
