Volleyball Preview: Centennial Bulldogs vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans        
        
		
             Centennial is 10-0 against Cimarron-Memorial since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The Centennial Bulldogs will head out on the road to  face off against  the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans  at 6:00  p.m. The  teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Centennial has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Cimarron-Memorial will arrive with three straight  victories.
 Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nevada's top teams: Coronado, who was ranked second  in their home state at the time (Centennial was ranked fifth). Centennial fell just short of Coronado by a score of  3-2 on Thursday.
 Centennial took Coronado into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 23-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17,  15-8.
 Despite the  defeat, Centennial had strong showings from  Brooke Cummings, who  had nine  digs and five  aces, and  Kiersten Cummings, who  had 13  digs and two  aces. The dominant performance gave  Brooke a new career-high in  aces.
 Even though they lost, Centennial  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 26 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Cimarron-Memorial made easy work of Desert Pines  on Monday and carried off  a  3-0 win.
 The  3-0 doesn't show just how dominant Cimarron-Memorial was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11,  25-12.
 Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record  this season.
 Centennial beat Cimarron-Memorial 2-0  in their previous meeting  back in August. Will Centennial repeat their success,  or does  Cimarron-Memorial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
